In preparation for the Youth Touch World Cup in 2018 and Touch World Cup in 2019, the Federation is conducting planning sessions in Malaysia.

FIT representatives Secretary General (Bill Ker) and Event Commission Chair (Gary Reynolds) have been busy on their 4 day mission to meet with FIT Touch Malaysia representatives Bryan O'Connor and Samsul Norazim.

The visit started on Saturday with a trip to the playing venue, Putrajaya Equestrian Park. The expansive grounds will cater for 9 playing fields with the local Putrajaya Council commencing construction on a new development in late 2016 to provide an additional 4-6 fields for the events.

On Sunday the party met with representatives of Malaysia Major Events before heading into an important meeting to go over budgets and event delivery agreements.

In the afternoon the focus shifted to visiting accommodation venues which will continue on Monday to find suitable facilities for the large refereeing contingent that will be required for both events.

To conclude there will be another round of planning meetings on Monday and Tuesday before Bill & Gary return to Australia.

FIT would like to thank FIT Touch Malaysia for their hospitality. We are looking forward to bringing two great events to Malaysia.
