Touch in China took a huge leap forward recently, when 40 x physical education (PE) teachers from Shanghai Public Schools attended a series of coaching sessions, driven by Laurent Villemeur (Shanghai Touch) Cao Ziying (Nanjing), & Xu Bo (Shanghai Touch). Supported by the local government's sport bureau, these sessions were set up to allow PE teachers a better understanding of the game of Touch.

Three exercises were created to demonstrate the accessibility and simplicity of the game as well as showing how to train basics for the local kids. Regarding the enthusiasm of teachers, the purpose of the day was definitely reached.

This session follows previous ones in September 2012 where 30 Public Schools in Nanjing started to run a comprehensive Touch program; and November 2012, where 35 referees attended & progressed to Referee Clinic Badge 1, the first ever organized in China.

Following relevant and promising initiatives in the south of China (Tri-Cities Touch Series launched on Dec 1st 2012 in Guangdong), these coaching sessions are another great achievement for Touch in China.
