Pakistan Touch News and Championship Results

The Pakistan Touch Rugby Federation is pleased to announce the election of Pakistan Touch Rugby Federation officials, and results for their National Touch Championships.General Council has approve the Constitution and in the conference meeting they have also announced the 2-11 sports calendar, including the hosting of the inaugural south asian Touch Championship in Pakistan; an Inter School Championship in Lahore, promoting Touch at grassroots level, an Inter Departmental series in Karachi, and a Women's Championship.

The following members were elected on different posts for the next four years:

Last weekend the Pakistan National Touch Championships were held, with 8 teams participating: Punjab , SINDH, Blochistan, Khabar Pakhtoon Khawa, Islamabad, University of Lahore, Pakistan Steel, & Pakistan Police.

In the Grand Final, Pakistan Steel Mills (7) def Punjab (0) to claim the title and become the champions of Touch in Pakistan. Semi-final results: Punjab (2) def The Uni of Lahore (1)Pakistan Steel Mills (4) def Khabar Pakhtoon Khawa (0)Sindh finished 5th Best for Pakistan Steel Mill were Abbubakar, Ali Khuram, Asim Shah, & Mohammad Aslam. In the closing ceremony Mr. Riaz Khan Fatyana and Rai Altaf Hussain presented the Shields and Trophies to the teams and officials, and declared the event a complete success.
