The 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby have concluded, with Papua New Guinea claiming victory in both the Mens Open & Womens Open competitions; whilst Samoa has claimed gold in the Mixed.

PNG stamped it's class on the tournament with comprehensive wins and an undefeated run throughout the Mens division, before stealing an 8-7 nail-biting win over Samoa in the final.  The bronze medal clash saw Cook Islands prevail over the Soloman Islands 14-8.

In the Womens division, PNG again went through the rounds udefeated; a 25-1 victory over Kiribati in the semi clearly highlighting why the locals were the competition favourites. As with the Mens, Samoa put up a good fight in the final, but PNG proved too strong and took the spoils 6-2.  The Womens Open Bronze medal play off was between Kirabati and the Cook Islands after they were both defeated by PNG and Samoa respectively in their Semi Finals. Cook Islands took out the win 11-2.

In the Mixed, the final was another close affair, and both Samoa & PNG went touchdown for touchdown throughout the decider. This time however it was the visitors, Samoa, that would come out on top, as they defended their Pacific Games title and took victory from the competition favourities with an enthralling 9-7 scoreline. Cook Islands completed their trifecta, again coming home with the bronze on the back of a 10-3 win over Tonga.

All participants have enjoyed magnificent weather and playing facilities. Everyone was housed at the Games Village, which is a new complex and a legacy of the games being staged in PNG.
