One of the largest Touch events in the world took place on the weekend just gone, as approximately 5,000 players, officials and spectators took to Port Macquarie on the east coast of Australia, for the annual New South Wales State Cup.

Teams were competing in 13 divisions, from Under 20's to Over 55's, across the three day event, and saw some of Australia's best players do battle in the prestigious tournament - now in it's 25th year!

North of the border, Queensland Touch were also going through their paces, at their inaugural Affiliates Cup on the Gold Coast; and across the Tasman, Touch NZ were holding their Secondary School Championships. Who said the Touch season was on holidays??

Both Australian events will serve as a good hitout for the countries top echelon of players, before they knuckle down further over the festive period in preparation for the 2014 National Touch League, to be held in Port Macquarie, in March.
