The Federation of International Touch (FIT) has proudly unveiled the official logo for the 2024 Touch World Cup (TWC), scheduled from 15 July to 21 July 2024 in Nottingham, UK.
This year’s edition of TWC marks a phenomenal 72% growth in the number of teams competing since the 1999 Touch World Cup, underscoring the ever-growing global enthusiasm for the rapidly expanding sport.
After a five-year hiatus, the Touch World Cup makes a grand return to the global sporting stage at the University of Nottingham, and FIT Director Peter Topp exudes confidence in the venue.
Peter said, “The Highfields Sports Complex and Nottingham Hockey Centre promise outstanding fields and facilities, while the University's convenient accommodation options ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for both teams and spectators.”
Chris Simon, CEO of the England Touch Association, echoes this sentiment, drawing on the success of past events at the University of Nottingham, including the Atlantic Youth Cup and European Touch Championships. “This wealth of experience sets the stage for an unforgettable and successful 2024 Touch World Cup,” Chris said.
