With the Trans Tasman done and dusted, focus at the elite level in Australia now turns to the Elite 8 & National Touch League tournaments in mid March.
An addendum to the pre-existing national competition, the biennial Elite 8 tournament brings the best of the best from across Australia in the form of 8 x Mens & Womens teams: 4 from NSW (Scorpions, Mets, Rebels & Country Mavericks), 3 from QLD (Chiefs, Country Outlaws, Stingrays), and a combined states side (the Alliance) comrpising the best of the rest.
The National Touch League continues to run underneath, and in an Elite 8 year contains teams from the minor states, regional teams from NSW & QLD; and in 2013 will also see sides from Scotland, PNG, and Hong Kong make the journey to Coffs Harbour for a shot at competing with some of the worlds best.
The National Touch League will run from 13-16 March, in Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia. Further info can be found via the Touch Football Australia website.
